Looking For Strains For AthletesHey everybody,

Ive asked this question to quite a few folks who are well versed in the consumption area, and ive gotten blank stares. So might as well as the pros here right??? Ive been searching for strains that work well with a more active lifestyle. Dont get me wrong, i love the indicas, but ive been involved with rugby for quite a while, and im looking for something that 1. has great PAIN relieviing qualities (all good stuff does that) 2. Smooth and easy on the throat 3. Doesnt make you feel groggy...i do know that sativas carry that up-energetic buzz...just trying to find the best strain that would benefit me the most. I DO plan on growing, im just researching and trying to gather as much info as possible and then go from there. All help and comments are most definitely appreciated. Peace and one love to all. :stoned:Durban D Reviewed by Durban D on . Looking For Strains For AthletesWell, fairly simple answer. I run marathons and use a homemade lightbulb vaporizer. That way I don't have to inhale smoke! It really helps my performance over using a piece. As far as the strain, sativa all the way.

Looking For Strains For AthletesTry harvesting a little early too. Like 6 weeks flowering instead of 8. Shouldn't matter so much then what strain/s you pick.

Looking For Strains For AthletesThanks all for the input. The smoke not so much is the problem, although im sure upgrading to vaporizer might help (currently using blunts, which arent a great choice im sure). As for pain, yeah i do need that...but functional as well. I havent tried too many sativas, just silver haze and durban poison. Those were great, heady, but functional. Thanks much, peace all.

Looking For Strains For AthletesDurban Poison.
Imported from South Africa, produced in Holland. Exclusively inbred, never hybridized, 100% Sativa. Large long budleaves, buds are also large and long with lots of resin. A sweet licorice or anise flavour. ā??Upā? high similar to Thai. High yields. Well suited for outcrossing with late bloomers to produce earlier flowering. Also does very well under artificial light. A very popular variety.
THC = 8.6% This is the description from http://www.dutch-passion.nl/engels/info.html

This should be a good strain for you... smoked through a vapouriser it shouldnt affect your fitness. 8.6% is a reasonable THC percentage, so the high should be quite powerful. It should also be productive and functional as the plant is 100% Sativa.

Looking For Strains For AthletesThanks all, the input is much appreciated. Durban Poison ive had before and it was really great, functionable as well. Kali never had, but from what i had read on Kali mist, it sounds just along the lines as well. Never had NLxHaze, just NL and that was trippy itself, more just couchlock for me. How about Thai...along those lines??? Does that tend to be a harder strain to find?
