    Heat from 600w HID Sodium

Hi all, Im growing a single Lowryder in a space about 2.5ft x 2.5ft and its 5ft high. Im growing using a 25w flouro at the moment, but have ordered a 600w Sodium with ballast and Dutch Barn reflector for her (yes, Fiona is in fact a Fiona - not a Shrek, as I was thinking a few days ago ). Anyway, Im just wondering how much heat the 600w will give off? I have a fan in there to cool it down during the day, and shes doing OK under the flouro at the moment cos shes only about 19/20 days old.
So will heat be a big issue for me, or not? The closet is quite cool most of the time anyway.

Yes, Heat iis going to be an issue for you... Especially if you live in a warm climate....

BUt it is definitley managable. Heat given off by an HID is TOTALY different than FLUORESCENTS...

You will need to pay close attention to your plant for the first cuple days you bring that light in... you shoulod check on her every couple hours.. especially if this is your first HID experience

Raising the light to reduce heat is the worst thing you can do..

You got this lIGHT to MAKE bigger BUDS.. so keep the LIGHT close and INCREASE air flow and you will be a happy camper..

Yeah, 600 watts is alot of heat. With lowryder in a 5' tall space though, you'll have ~3 feet of empty space on top for the heat to collect, so it shouldn't bee too bad as long as you have a couple fans.
