I wasn't trying to make myself sound "cool", I was just making a statement,and I know it's not a very smart choice to drive intoxicated but if I get in a wreck then that's my fault for being a "moron".

The problem, I see, is that "your fault" will have, in its scope, much more than just "you".

What if you crash into somebody else?
What if you cause a small crash, no injuries... but because of that small accident, a bigger one (and maybe fatal) crash happens?

What if the emergency personel that are dealing with your injuries ("your fault") get hit by a vehicle?

I had a girlfriend once... her sister, just 17 years old, got killed by a drunk driver. The justice system didn't do its job... the guy walked... but I can tell you he's no longer alive. I didn't kill him, but he fucked with the wrong family. I don't have confirmation, but I'm pretty sure my girlfriend's family played out a big wad of cash to get him dead... and he's dead now. Confirmed.

This isn't a direct attack on you, I just hope I can get through to some of you kids.

I usually make sure I have a place to stay if I'm intoxicated but this time I was confident that I could make it home without any accidents, but I don't plan on doing it again.
