The liberal attack on Free Speech
This push by the Democrats to bring back the Fairness Doctrine , an Federal Communications Commission(FCC) rule that required broadcasters to offer equal time to opposing views of those expressed on the airwaves is truly scary. Read the article here:

Dude both parties are fucked up. Its basically just one big party in washington. Minor issues seperate them.

I would not call abortion, national security, and social security reform minor issues. Those are just a few of the major differences.

Free Speech is also not a minor issue. Try visiting a country that isn't. While in Saudi Arabia I watched teenagers whipped for holding hands, a few also got smacked for listening to Western music. I will never forget seeing their faces.

It was some crazy shit. I really felt shitty watching that happen. I also really, really , learned to appreciate what our great nation is all about. Sure, we have some problems here but after traveling quite a bit I realized that the United States is the greatest place on earth and nothing even comes close to how wonderful it is, and I lived in Holland and England for some time. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I've always been fond of this one...the usa is the worst country in the world...except for all the rest of them.
My uncle was essentially "forced" to do a 2 year stint in Saudi Arabia by his bosses, the state of Washington...either that or retire early and lose a butload of money...he has some amazing stories about those folks and their screwy culture. He and his wife essentially never left the compound they were in for fear of their lives being lost. Why we do business with them at all is beyond me. Might as well be working with the Mafia and Columbian drug cartels too. Oh yeah, we uhh...we are. I love this nation and what it stands for but I really despise what this government has degraded into and how corrupted it has become thanks to career politicians and greedy corporate (left and right) interests. Power corrupts and absolute power...you know the rest.
