I may be wrong but Torog you are disabled aren't you? We live in a very fucked up place where genuine people like yourself are not allowed to choose the pain relief of there choice. Especially there are states in the USA that are allowed and some that are not.

Also wearing that t-shirt to your hearing will be a huge slap in there face you should wear it.

Yup..I'm 100 % disabled,with a double fusion in my lower back,plus I have degenerative arthritis and disc disease too.

As for the t-shirt,that ain't mine..it's erceg's..I wish that I had one like it tho !

I don't know much about US legislation (the gist of it), but I think those are legal precedents that will be regarded as relevant in court.

Hello Torog. Do you have a MedMarijuana liscense in your state? If you do, the law that applies to your situation would be different than if you did not have the liscense. Arguing the law is easier if you can argue within the framework of the state statute that granted you the liscense (in Colorado there are some neat defenses built into the law). If you are not a liscense holder, a 1988 ruling would have to still be good law in that it would not be over ruled by now. You have to go to the case that held that ruling and "sheperdize" it to confirm it's still valid. As for the tshirt, I think it would only piss off the judge, a bad idea. Try a suit instead. Nope..not yet,but we are working on passing a medical need defense bill and making simple possesion,just a tickitable offense,here in Texas.

That there t-shirt,belongs to erceg and yer right-there ain't no way I'd wear it in front of the judge..lol. As for a suit,I ain't got one..I'd probably look kinda weird in one too,as I have long hair and a big,bushy beard..lol.

Seems like it was overruled though

DEA Administrator John Lawn subsequently overruled Young's ruling. NORML filed suit, but the U.S. Court of Appeals upheld the legality of Lawn's action. Although marijuana remains in Schedule I, Young's decision has been quoted countless times by activists seeking to legalize medical marijuana.

DEA administrator Robert Bonner overruled this shift to schedule 2 for political reasons. So they can expect you're going to bring that up, since cannabis activists have used this document a lot, I'm sure the better judge would be aware of this. imo
