United Arab Emirates company to oversee six U.S. ports
Chuck Schumer is from Brooklyn, and used to glad-hand us at the subway stations during election times in the 1970's through 90's. For those that are wondering - yes, he's Jewish.

Bill Planned to Ban New Bullets
A New York Congressman who was a main sponsor of the crime bill enacted last fall said yesterday that he would seek a ban on all ammunition that can penetrate bulletproof vests. Representative Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of Brooklyn, made the announcement in response to a news report that two new types of handgun ammunition. The new products are Rhino-Ammo, capable of producing a baseball-sized wound, and the Black Rhino, which can pierce armor. They are made of carbon-based plastics, polymers, which shatter into razor-sharp shrapnel upon impact. The ammunition, made by Signature Products Corporation of Huntsville, Ala., has prompted criticism from police and gun control advocates. David Keen, chief executive of Signature, said the ammunition he is about to introduce is "a strictly defensive round." Mr. Schumer called Mr. Keen's position "ludicrous."
