I used to do do a lot of pretty hard core mnt biking. I live in San Jose, CA which is in a valley surrounded by mountains so there were hundreds of miles of trails within a 1/2 hour drive in pretty much any direction. A five minute ride up the hill from my house will get you into one park with about 80 miles of trails. Mostly fire roads but a few really nice single tracks.
Pretty much everey weekend and days off I'd be riding and in the summer we used to go out and ride every night after work until it got dark. Sometimes we'd do night rides too. Night riding is awesome, when you get into the trees there's nothing but total blackness except for right in front of you where your light is shining.
Unfortunately it's been a couple of years since I've been out riding. The guy I used to do most of my riding with moved away so I stopped going out reguarly, then my bike got stolen. I was thinkinbg of getting a new bike but then my wife and I had a baby and, well... it just wasn't a priority anymore. Damn I miss it!

I love mountainbiking, and I'm 23 years old.
We have trials that run through the entire city. Some of them easy, some of them can be quite bumpy and a hard ride, but I have a bike with dual supension and stuff, so it makes for a good trip.
Actually, I just got my bike down, seeing as that we have had no snow this year. I got it all tuned, ready to go, and it's fucking snowing outsideIt doesn't snow all winter and when I decide to bring it down, and Mother Nature shits on me, but I'll blame it on God
*flips God the finger*
