This ones for the non-believers!
I'm not saying I don't believe you or anything.
But I've read alot about marijuana and I've never once heard of it referred to as a stimulant. This kind of made me question everything else you wrote.
Also, since when does smoking weed not negatively effect your lungs? I can't really see water cleaning the 'resin' on your lungs unless your inhaling the water. I'm having a hard time believing that breathing in marijuana smoke, when done with breaks/water, has absolutely NO harmful effects on your body. I mean.. what about Vaporizers? ((as in why would they be created if marijuana smoke had no harmful body effects)) Everything I've heard all my life indicates that inhaling smoke is bad for your lungs. Period.
So since the link in your first post doesn't work, think you could post a reliable site or sources with some proof of what your saying?
Thanks. ^^

Well, I'm not sure that vaporizers were created with marijauna in mind, but I'd have to agree; it's hard to believe that smoking weed has no negative effects on your lungs.

maybe this explains why when you quit for a month or more, and then toke... you get REALLY BAKED. Compared to if you smoked it often.

And yes, obviously "...absolutely NO harmful effects on your body" is inaccurate and irresponsible.

Wow...I'm suprised this thread is still here.
Allow me to apologize for abandoning it. I ran into some issues that forced me to cut off all connections to this webpage as well as others. (around the time when overgrow.com was shut down.
)
I was extremely high when I posted this informative post...lol.
At any rate, what I was trying to explain was how water is very important in keeping your body cleansed.
Allow me to elaborate on my point. It truly does help increase your high and depending on how sensitive you are to different levels and types of highs you will DEFINITLY notice the difference.
The human body is 2/3 water. Water is an essential nutrient that is involved in every function of the body. It helps transport nutrients and waste products in and out of cells. It is necessary for all digestive, absorption, circulatory, and excretory functions, as well as for the utilization of the water-soluble vitamins. It is also needed for the maintenance of proper body temperature.
Caffeinated and alcoholic beverages, while they do supply water to the body initially, contain diuretics that cause the body to lose water.
Here is the deal, THC is water-soluble. It is so water-soluble that it can absorb more water than your body can supply during certain gas exchanges to your bloodstream. This would mean that THC is also an extreme diuretic. Hence why we get cotton mouth.
The more water you drink, the more THC your body can "float" into your bloodstream. The more THC in your bloodstream, the higher you will be.
Now, as for cleaning your lungs by drinking more water, heres the deal on that:
Water must be continuously replaced since on average 250ml is lost on a daily basis through breathing. Nutritionists have difficulty in suggesting an exact daily requirement because the amount of water required will vary depending on the on the climate and whether any type of activity is undertaken.
Water is in fact a key ingredient with healthy breathing. And believe it or not your lungs DO have water and other types of fluid throughout them. Large concentrations of water inside your lungs is obviously bad for a number of reasons. I'm not saying inhale water..lol.
The resin on the inside of your lungs is constantly being removed from your lungs during the respiration stage of breathing.
Blood carries oxygen, carbon dioxide and hydrogen ions between tissues and the lungs.
The majority (70%) of CO2 transported in the blood is dissolved in plasma (primarily as dissolved bicarbonate; 60%). A smaller fraction (30%) is transported in red blood cells combined with the globin portion of hemoglobin as carbaminohemoglobin.
During this proccess many other things happen. The lungs will actually secrete gases accross the respiratory surface by diffusion. Which will be later formed as MUCUS.
Your lungs are comprised of a thin permeable surface, a moist exchange surface and BILLIONS of cilia.
The mucus that comes out of your lung area is how the body cleanses your lungs. Without proper intake of water your body cannot create enough mucus to protect and clean your lungs.
Ever wake up the next morning CONSTANTLY clearing your throat or "hacking up a lung"? Well, that is your body telling you that your lungs are dirty. Drink more water to help your body clear your lung area faster and more efficiently.
Now of course you won't be able to clear out ALL the resin and yes it is bad for you no matter how you look at it but I like to look at the upside of things.
By the way...I'M BAAAAACK! lol
PS- Vaporizers were created to help reduce carcinogens inhaled into the lungs, no matter what the substance being burned is. One issue with this is that you have to know the right temperatures at which each element becomes a gas in order for it to be effective. I highly recommend the usage of them. A long with drinking the right amount of water to compensate for the cannabis smoking life-style a vaporizer will ensure you the best health possible to go with that life-style.

Yes it has been said a few times. I'm not quite sure as to why. I never really said it was. Either way anyone who says it is a stimulant is not necissarily wrong...
Marijuana is its own type. It is neither stimulant nor depressant. It can be both. It depends.
And it actually IS a stimulant in many cases. It can be classified as an Appetite Stimulant.
Here are the known classifications for cannabis:
Antiemetic, Appetite Stimulant, Cannabinoid, Hallucinogen
This is a nice site (I've done business with the owner of the site):
