if you can plant them at least 2 feet apart.... but work with what you got. If that is where you plan to leave the plant until harvest i would say spread them more than the length of your keyboard cuz roots outdoors get big.

Ok heres whats up. Plants need about 1 gallon of soil per 1 foot of growth at least. So if you plan to groww take future size into consideration. If it has 9 months to go them 2 feet is way too close. I'd say a foot per foot of plant at least. It wont really kill them to be closer but the root system is very important for good bud so take care of it. Room to spread and unleash its full potental is good to have.

im not sure that he has a whole field to grow in.. so 2 or 3 feet is ok when working with a small area... the plants might become a little rootbound ... but your plants will still produce as much as a normal indoor plant. But if you can space them more than 3 feet than do that cuz the bigger the roots... the bigger the plant in most cases.

well it depends on strain and type of plant it is too....I would think so....because sativas grow huge so they need lots of root space.....but indicas grow short so they need less space.....thast what im thinking....I think a indica that only reaches to 4.5 feet woudl only need something like 2 feet......even tho its only 4.5 feet it will prodice more bud than a 6 foot sativa in most cases

I grow mainly indicas and they tend to get to be about 6-9 foot tall on a full season. Indicas actually grow and flower faster than sativas.

yes i know indicas flower and grow faster.......but there are many indicas that stay short and prodice a ton of bud.....such as NL#5, afghaan dream, big blue and such strains.....will only grow up to 3-4.5 feet

Hmm... If my plant was 3.5 feet after 9 months of growing I'd be pretty pissed...
