yeah but where will you be installing those into(sockets) cause you cant just stick those into any ol home socket? I want to know cause I want to get some CFLs but I dont want to spent to much money on those lights so i was going to get 42w but if you know of cheap sockets for those 65w share the info?

They have one black and one white wire... you just go to the electric isle and get a lamp plug then plug it into any outlet...

you can also cut the end off of a extension cord attach the 2 wires to the 2 wires on the light with wire nuts tape it up with electrical black tape and just plug it in to an outlet...

They take the same current as any light or lamp,it's only 65 watts...

I just need to mention that all walmarts are different and may not have the light... this wasn't on a isle shelf,it was one of those center isle displays...

I found the 150 watt cfl bulb for 9.99 at Home Depot, but that one has the ballast and everything, nice.

that hood doesn't have the ballast in it? i used a similar 1 and had to remove the ballast from the reflector and wire it up remotely on the back of the grow cab. most cfls will work in a regular socket. that's because the ballast is in the base. you must be careful though home depot and walmart do sell some higher wattage cfls that do not have the ballast included and must be used with the appropriate reflector/hood with inclosed ballast. i made that mistake when i first built my stealth cab. i have not been able to find a cfl with ballast over 45watts except at the hydro store so that 65watter is a great find!

I use those lights! You do have to wire them up and figure out a way to mount them. They say 6825 lumens but those are brightness lumens,it's actually 4550 phototropic lumens which is the actual number you are after. They work best for seedlings/early veg or would be great for a mother. I used them for flowering and got quite poor results compared to what an HPS will do. Try to keep them very close to the tops of plants and have a fan blowing across as they do get hot. Also I dont use the clear cover that comes with the light cause you can get the bulb closer to the plants without them. I've actually had the tips of the leaves touching the bulb without burning which is why I suggest a fan. You will get tight internodes if you use this light and keep it as close as you can. Below is a pic of a lower section of a plant grown with that exact light.
