V-day?

So, the day of valentines is fast approaching, and I couldn't be more scared for my life...I have two big problems. One being there is a girl I had talked about going out on valentines day with a long time ago, and mostly I talked indirectly through one of her friends, so I have no idea if she is hoping I call her or what her plans might be....second big problem, there is this girl I have been sleeping with that may or may not be expecting anything big from me...I am completely in the dark, if I go to small, she may get kind of pissy and agravated... If I go too big, I am screaming that I want to be more serious. It's like the dilemma that seinfeld faced with elaine for her birthday....We've been friends a long time, so we have "this" but then at night, i get horny and we do "that". She tells me she loves me just because she gets butterflies in her stomach sometimes when we kiss, but she also said we could never be like that (as in a couple) because she has emotions tied up to a boyfriend that she moved away from but never really decided to stop being involved with(love wise, not sex wise)... so, what the fuck am i going to do? Pull the fred flinstone and go to the bowling alley and the special dinner? Or just make a complete ass of myself? The question boils down to: a) should i ask the first girl out, (id like to, so i dont hurt her feelings and because i want her to know i'm interested) and b) what should i get for the second girl and how do i explain that i dont necessarily want to see her on valentines day for the evening?
i think i am pretty much F'ed in the A which ever way...

finally, a girl that understands the true meaning of the holiday...
for those of you interested, i wound up going out in a group with maggie for dinner and then kathleen wound up having to work on a project...she is kind of anti-valentines day, but she said she'll come over for a special evening tonight.
All in all, I didn't fuck up too bad.
