Cousins pitbull was not happy with my visit.

I droped by my Cousins saturday night for a quick visit, and his pit witch was ok with me the last time I came over a few months back, was not happy this time.

There was no place for me to sit so he made her "his pit" move so I can sit down for a few min.

She was in heat also so I don't know if that had anything to do with how she was acting.

She was right in my face growling and barking at me and I jest did not wan't to be bit in the face.

so finally he put her in another room till I left.

I think it's because I got her spot and was not giving her any attention.

    Anyone have any similar experiences?

I've had experience with pitbulls and dogs in heat.

You're a new scent, you haven't been around for months.

Pitbulls are vicious when in hormonal season, a new scent can and sometimes will throw them off into instinctal rage.

I had a pitbull kill my pygmy goats by biting them on the back of the neck. They crushed them and tried to pull them thru the fence. It was aweful and I hate those dogs and really scare me. If one grabs on to you it won't let go. Tell your friend to put the dog where there's no people or don't go there. If you think I'm kidding, talk to a vet about how pit bulls bite and kill things. It's scary if an owner looses control over the dog. It happens.

A guy in a Brooklyn, years ago, was walking his prize winning Irish Wolfhound in a local park. A pitbull that was off the leash came charging at the big Wolfhound and was going for his throat. The Wolfhound dodged the attack by moving up, grabbed the pitbull by the back of his neck, shook the dog violently a few times until it was dead, and just dropped it on the ground.

I don't care for pitbulls. For one, they are butt ugly dogs, and second, is some say only the caretakers make the dog violent, but pit bulls are violent by nature. You do one wrong thing and it can set them off. In other words, you piss one off, you will be sorry. I'm not saying all of them will bite you for no reason, but they have a short fuse. Third, is their jaw. They have a configured jaw that makes it unlocklable when biting. Scary stuff I think!

Something like this happened to me with a Dalmation, the white spotted dogs. All I was doing was sitting in the guys living room and I was just looking at his dog. Nothing more, just looking, and it just starts barking. Making advances towards me.

    Stupid dogs

Pitbulls are no vicious than any other dog. In fact, pitbulls are less likely to bite you than a bunch of the bitchier little scrappy dogs. The difference is, if a pit bites you it hurts a lot more.

i dont really care for any sort of purebred dog -- purebreds tend to have genetic problems from too much inbreeding.
