any electricians among us?????
that looks spot on from the one i got today in the post.
Mine too, was from spain, maybe they make the best ballast's eh?
Anyways, your wiring looks sound, exactly like mine, except for the fact, my light didnt have an earth.
Ballast did, but my light didnt.
I would say, its wired up EXACTLY the same as mine, I too contacted a sparky, and he confirmed my setup before I switched it on.
Mine works perrrrrrrfect.

will wait to confirm wiring, you mean you have yours running with no earth .I just wondered what you do with the
earth wire as I was given 3 core wires(standard)

my ballast has an earth, the lighting unit itself has no place for an earth wire to go.
Obviously, mine is still three core, and I didn't remove it, it's just not constantly touching the case.

so you have no earth to the actaul lamp itself. is that how u wired it up?? I thought it was the other way around cos on a plug the blue is to the left + brown to the right

Would do mate, but it means fiddling about with a load of stuff, and my plants being without light for an hour, as the ballast and lamp is about 200 degrees lol.
Here's a pic of my ballast.
basically, it goes (from left to right)
(from plug)
Earth ---- Screwed to light
Live ----- F
Neut---- N
(to light)
Live ----- LR
Neut ----- LF
Then, connected to the light, didnt take any effort at all, as it had 2 wires already, one was live and one was neutral so it was just a case of matching them up

I'd give it a whirl, if we have the same ballast's, then the wiring has to be the same, because its a mass produced item.
Mines a 400w.
The only problem I can see, is the wiring on the ceramic lamp itself, if yours was different to mine, although that shouldnt be a big deal.

cool . turned it on + was making a noise + flickering . rewired the lamp holder to see if it was that but its just thge way it is till its warmed up. I then left it on for a few moments + it stopped flicking + lit fully to an orange like haze nice.
The 400 watt must be crazy mines only 100 watt I gotta 400 but a different make which I will use for flowering I think haha.
Nice one thanks will send a pic maybe !!!!!!!!!!!
