you know M4sterchef, the first time I read that post of yours, I thought it was inane. But the second time, since you're just reposting things now... well the second time I thought it was even more inane and redundant to boot. But oh well.
Are guns responsible for all violent crime? No. Has that even come up as an issue? No. Nobody thinks that banning guns will cause a decrease in assaults with knives, or clubs, or rubber bands for that matter. But it will decrease the number of assaults with guns.
You seem to think that by pointing out that other objects can be used to kill people, we should all come around to your view. The fact is, most of those other objects all have legitimate uses. You can't build a house with a gun. And despite DHM's claims about being able to shoot down trees, I don't consider that very practical. A gun is an instrument used solely to kill. Explain to me why, in a society, we should all be allowed to own instruments of death?

Bearing in mind that you obviously have to draw the line somewhere. I mean, we can't all own tactical nukes right? So where do we draw the line for the good of society. Bearing in mind that what is best is not always what is most comfortable. Could you give up your guns for a better world?
