as someone else said, guns are only means to an end. people get killed many other ways. more people are killed by cars than guns every year, but do we revoke the cars? hell no. i own an assortment of weapons. my HnK USP Compact, the trigger just broke yesterday, my brand new Kimber m1911 .45, a SIGpro SP2009 9mm also with a .22lr conversion kit, an Auto Ordnance m1911 .45 cal, used to have a Glock 19c, i have a romanian AK47 with a 90 rd. drum magazine, and last but definitely not least, my M14 .30-06 with a 10x tasco on it, and converted to fullauto or semiauto.
EDIT: I also got a Mossberg 500 Persuader 12 Gauge, a 20 Gauge Semi Automatic, and a .30-06 Bolt Action, of some sort, I dont know what brand.

You're right. Guns don't kill people. People do. The guns just make it incredibly easier and more prone to happen because of quick tempers.

the difference is cars serve a purpose, handguns don't...well, robbing and raping and murdering, I guess. You can say you need them as a safety precaution when you're hunting bears or something with a bow and arrow...but if you want to be a real badass and fucking kill bears, do it properly like a man.

Bonsai guy, I agree, free the pot smokers and keep the real criminals in there for fucking ever. It's just a lot harder to differentiate between who could safely use guns and who can't, versus just eliminating them all together. Prohibition didn't work with alcohol, but I can brew that up in my bathtub, in mass quantities. I'd like to see somebody do that with hand guns...I'm sure they could, just not very efficiently.

Based on your logic I really hope you're no more than 17 or 18 years old. I'm also assuming you don't ever lock your doors, or wear a seat belt, because these are the same safety precautions as owning a gun. It's ok, you're just saying that your life isn't worth taking EVERY possible precaution inorder to save it, I guess some value their life a little more.

dude shut the fuck up... i also believe that you are a dumbass, and you dont use simple safety precautions. if i live in a nasty neighborhood, and people have guns, thats how it is. also, i got the AK for 45 dollars at a pawn shop,i was gonna fix it up and sell it for more. I have hunted deer with it once too. got a 10 point buck. what if someone breaks into your house, or cardboard box, whatever it may be, with a semiautomatic pistol. what are you gonna do? punch him? But your arguments on carrying guns aren't too convincing. Dude, if you break into my house, with a gun, and i don't have one, too bad. If I have a gun too, there's TWICE as much chance of someone getting killed.
If guns were to be prohibited, murder rates would drop. crime rates would drop. claiming the opposite would be nonsense. if you take away the ball from the player, there's no game.
If guns were to be prohibited, the guy that would rob you probably wouldn't carry a gun, eradication of arms takes a long time, but is possible. this decreases the odds of murder by a long shot.

If all you gunslingers want to be the righteous men that protect common sense, grow some nuts and deal with the issue. Instead of sitting on your lazy asses with a shotgun complaining about society. Get on the streets without a stupid gun. If history teaches us ANYTHING.
