Honesty and Modesty

we'll i'm gunna probably pour my heart out in a second but all i wanna say is this before i do........what was you like before you started to smoke cannabis? ok so i'm going to confess. i was a depressed little boy, never had anybody to turn to or talk to so i had all the problems stuck within my head and when i had a happy memory, it stuck with me. but now what am i like? well i've started 2 pile on the pounds because of smoking to much to get the munchies, spending basically all of my wages on weed.....yes don't get me wrong i'm not insulting MJ my anymeans, i'm just saying that i'm sure there's other things out there 2 buy than cannabis. as well as this, ever time i have a proble, its always related to having a pipe............

.........but the reason y i write this is.........what happens if you've got a problem and you're relying to smoke something that you haven' got? what do you do then? ignore it? kind of hard 2 don't ya think. but i have been doing alot of thinking lately as in ''why i smoke joint's'' yeah i'm sure like all of us.....to start off with it was to fit in with people and to be cool, just liek smoking lol.

but my life has seem 2 of taken a tumble, i've had a part-time job but now have been sacked to smoking MJ. yeah it mite not seem like a big deal but because i was working in a public supermarket, they are now sueing me for possession of an illegal substance on public grounds and also this will go down on my record........doesn't look very good for a medical student trying to make his way into the working world with that on his record at the age of 18.

it just all seems so surreal, i guess that EVERYBODY here thinks about it all the time..........what if this.....what if that......so i REALLY wanna know. has cannabis made you into a better person, or has it tweaked your mind 2 make u believe it's the healthest salad in the world??? my opinion.........i would say it has deffiently transformed me........but into a better person, but i need to cut down on it big time. anybody got some useful info they can help me out on?

and sorry this is soo long, if u wanna read it feel free, if you can't b bothered then i don't blaime ya. peace out.

I'ts called use not abuse. I've been smoking on and off (mostly on) for about 24 yrs. Never been busted no troubles. If all your doing is sitting around getting high all day you're not going to be motivated to do much else. My neighbors boys both have lost jobs and are deadbeats because all they do is sit around, smoke and party with their also deadbeat friends. Sounds like you had it pretty together. Lay off it and get your self back together. Then if you still want to smoke, there is always the right place and time. Good luck. Wish you the best.

It takes a lot of dare to ponder on the real underlying issue. If the governments would have asked this question a little more often the world would be a better place.
I myself can really say i became a better person. A relatively, widely accepted better person. The anger that dwelled within me has been eradicated by my mind on cannabis, and some very valuable lessons the mushroom tought me. I'm not saying they are gods, but don't you sometimes get insights when drunk off your ass for instance? Lemonboy told me something beautiful about addiction, can't remember the exact words, but it was like: "Do you judge a hungry man because he reaches for an apple?" Psychedelics made our brain into what it is today, superior to almost all creatures. We should not feel bad because we harvest the mental fruits of nature, as long as we can still maintain a sociable way in society. But what is 'crazy'? What is 'bad'? Insanity can be beautiful and teaches us valuable lessons too. It's all about the chaos.
I believe the majority of cannabis indulgents don't abuse it. Moderation is key of course. But when you ask if we aren't indoctrinated by our own sweettalking and convincing evidence, that's a very fair question. I'm interested in hearing further replies (esp. from lemonboy actually. and torog, since he's imo our oldest, most experienced friend.)
ciaoz & lots of good karma to you my friend. very relevant question.

I can't recall what I was like before I started smoking marijuana. When I starting toking I also starting doing other illicit drugs, which definitely tweaked my mind. It's hard to say though. Perhaps I'm just dealing with a mental disorder that was passed through my family? I can't put anything off on the drugs I took. They're taken care of with time.

Whether or not it's made me a better person will go unanswered. Reason being...I don't have an answer. You have to be responsible with any drug. And you have to remember to think before you act. Although you may feel that because you don't have a problem with anyone, it doesn't guarantee noone has a problem with you and what you do. Especially at work. Keep your cool, man.

(Marijuana)
And no, I hardly ever think of the consequences of my actions, hell, I hardly ever think before I act (hypocrite), but I also don't worry about marijuana. Hell, I walk around shopping malls, smoking joints in public without a care in the World. If an officer would approach me I'd eat it quickly...joints aren't that bad. THINK! THINK! THINK!

"Don't worry, be happy"

I couldn't give you any suggestions on slowing down your habit, but being broke seems to help a lot, if you're trying to cutback. lol. I was the same way when I had a job. As soon as I got my check--straight to the dope man! I'd buy an eighth, smoke it in a few days, and back to the dope man! It's a draining cycle...money draining that is. I was happy though...I was high.
