Federal Budget Surplus larger than expected
Repeat after me, lefties; when you leave more money in the private sector, it grows faster and thus you end up with more revenues even at lower tax rates than you would have got with higher tax rates.

You want comments? Fine. Explain to me how a surplus is anything other than an illusion to bedazzle the simpleminded since we continue to sell treasury bonds to china in order to float our deficits? Nevermind the national debt. We've got an honest to god surplus on our hands... apparently? Have you paid any attention to the strength of the dollar on the international level?
Are you asking me if I'm impressed that the government didn't manage to mis-spend as much money as they thought they would in their budget? No, I'm not.
Left. Out.

An illusion huh. Wow. I lived in Holland for two years friend and our dollar goes up and down just like it has for 100 years. While I was there in 1997 it was even worse than it was in 2002.
The economy is going strong wether you choose to admit it or not. My new home I own will testify to that. So will my stocks and bonds.

Well I guess I can't find any fault with thinking that one's personal situation is representative of the whole. I hope you enjoy your new home, and congratulations.

Hey, it's O'Reilly Jr! Way to point out less than the whole truth, buddy.
Econ 101: A. A good month does not a strong economy make. B. A surplus is inevitable when you thrash spending.
Hope you're enjoying your new home. A lot of people are finding it tough these days because of cuts in student loans; Medicare; Medicaid; the Commodity Supplemental Food Program; Head Start; the Women, Infants and Children nutrition program; the EPA (who needs clean water anyway?); National Institutes of Health; even Homeland Security. In all, 150 federal programs have been cut or are about to be. And then, W's gonna cut taxes...mostly for the wealthy...again. He really does represent all of us, huh?
