Patriot act to sail through Congress

I remember a few weeks ago Harry Reid bragging that the Democrats had "killed the Patriot Act." Now he is meekly giving in, without having dealt the act as much as a flesh wound. This speaks VERY CLEARLY, not withstanding the incessant anti-administration cheerleading in the press, where the American people stand on national security issues.:thumbsup:

I'm not so sure this has anything to do with what the american people want. If they really cared about that they'd have built that wall on the southern border long ago and fined the shit out of every business entity who hires illegal aliens. Seems more like part of a large power (aka...money) grab by the exec branch. Not bush himself, but rather the group of thugs who have been a part of the white house since nixon was around (or longer) like Rove, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld and yes, even Cheney. If a democan gets in to the white house in '08, I'll bet the righties will attempt to repeal the patriot act so fast cheney's head will spin. (flinging buckshot in all directions) I am so sick of the lefties and righties who have so badly bastardized our nation and the constitution.
