Yes, Oil - only because they're lucky that their geography is rich with it. If it were up to me, their "luck" would be limited because I would develop alternative energy sources, and tell them to pipe the oil up their ass.

It would be great to see them left powerless due to oil being made obsolete - as it SHOULD be, regardless of the political/religious climate in the middle east.

Not really since we currently get about 70% of our oil from Canada, Mexico and South America. And as BA mentioned, we have had over 30 years (since the last "oil crisis" to develop new energy sources but just haven't bothered to put much effort in to it. Also, there is no reason we can't tap some of our own wells off shore and in Alaska and do it SAFELY if we don't leave it to the lowest bidders to do the work.

Said it before, say it again...isolate the middle east, Israel and Saudi Arabia included...blockade, isolate, build a fucking wall if necessary...let them kill each other off (since they've been at it for 10,000 years or more anyway) and take what's left. remove all vestiges of anything western; stores, cars, oil fields, food, hookers, amusement parks, infrastructure, weapons, planes, humanitarian aid, everything we ever gave or sold them. Park a couple subs and aircraft carriers off their shores and give them the message...do as you will to one another, live how you want to, gas your own people, screw camels, enslave your women and children. whatever...step outside your borders or mess with us or our allies and become a sheet of glass.(thus learning the true meaning of St Valentines Day Massacre) And make sure we do it too. The reason that there is war in the middle east is because of conflicting interests. The issue in israel for example is not about religion but between religious groups over land not which god to worship. The whole situation in the middle east is pathetic and rediculious. Not to bash the whole muslim religion and culture but where in the koran does it say that if you kill inocent people and burn peoples busniesses and fuck everything up that you will go to heaven??? i dont understand where this mindset comes from. being a jew makes it even more frustrating.
