Some of the best movies in the world, are love stories! I would not try to claim any subject matter would make or break a movie! Like I said a good director, writer, and actors could make a great movie about dirt farmers!! The subject should not be an issue!! And if the subject is an issue for you that means you are a #4!!!

If you like a lot of great movies like Casablanca, Taxi Driver, Godfather I and II, Citizen Cane, Blade Runner etc. etc. etc. but donâ??t want to see Brokeback then that means you are a #3!!

There are no grey areas in this poll!
There are SEVERAL grey areas. And only an idiot wouldn't see them. *wink*

I have em, I'll get around to em before the oscars so I guess you got me there. I've seen Syriana (I'd call that intellectual if any of em are) and Crash so far. Are those the 5 up for best picture?

if you have nothing againts gays or it plays not part in you decision to watch the movie and you cant find an option on your list, like some people have then there is a grey area. u=narrow minded, people like you make forum no fun you have to argue with people instead of just voicing you opion, and embracing theirs! just my opinion!

    BS #3

I stand behind this all the way. Everyone falls into one of the 4 and only people with issues would try to clam that the subject matter of brokeback was not what made them not want to see it but yet try to claim they are into other movies of its caliber!!

If you only like matrix, LOTR, Star Wars, type movies thatâ??s fine, youâ??re a #4. But if you like movies like Capote, Munich, Syriana, Million Dollar Baby, etc. etc. but still try to say a movie like Brokeback does not interest you, you are a #3!!

This is very interesting though, its reveled a whole new class of people â??

Homophobe-aphobes!! LOL People that are afraid of things about gay people but are also afraid to admit they are afraid of things about gay people!!!

    I guess you are right!!

#5 is I donâ??t want to see Brokeback because I donâ??t want to see a movie about gay guys but I also donâ??t want to admit that that is the reason I donâ??t want to see it!!

    Youâ??re a #5!!!

No "good night and goodluck" was nominated instead of Syriana which I do not agree with!! I have seen both.

And how the hell could you call Syriana intellectual and Brokeback not!??! Just because Syriana is complicated and hard for some to follow?!?! LOL Come on!! Brokeback is every bit as "intellectual" as Syriana!!

Dude 90% of Brokeback is them staring off into space thinking about fucking eachother. Then there's 5% where they do fuck and another 5% where they utter some redneck drawl toward one another. Seriously, it's not that good.

That said it'll sweep the Oscars I'm sure.
