and as far as things getting laced, yes you can die.... put my friends anut in the hostpital for 5 days since some dealer put some pcp, crack and some other stuff in it.

OK, here's the deal:

Usually, people do not do funky shit with weed, except around here I've heard that it's rumored that the dealers spray it with "sugar water" to make it sparkle more and appear to have crystals. To me, that sounds simply like pure stoner crazy talk, but I digress... it's very unlikely that any weed you get will be laced. It is a possibility, but a very unlikely one. Putting such a large amount of another drug so that it would make you O.D. and die is pretty stupid of a dealer, and if someone hates you that much to try and kill you like that, they're going to probably jump you in the street or something instead so they don't get charged with drug dealing on top of murder =P

I would just say inspect your weed. If something seems really odd about it (like it smells like ajax or bleach) I would likely question something. So far what I've gather from my days of toking, it seems more likely that a dealer will try and rip you off (calling your weed "THIS AMAZING NEW SHIT!!" when it's clearly the same stuff you've bought for months) then it is that they will taint the bud.

In my opinion, you're right to stay away from harder stuff, and your opinion is founded from rightful paranoia, but it's pretty much whacked. Sadly weed is not legal, you're going to have to make your own descisions. Around here we usually will smoke a bowl with our dealers before or after scoring to test the stuff, but I understand not everyone is able to do that. I do agree with your descision to avoid the harder stuff though, a lot of that stuff is evil and it did whreck my family years ago. Ignorance is bliss as it should be with that other stuff, in some ways it is analagous to the Garden of Eden hehe. (Ignoring Weed and maybe Alcohol) Those other drugs are like the apple, you're living in paradise now (lol, well not really but it's for an analogy's sake) but taking a bite of that forbidden fruit will get you sent into a new dangerous world that you never even knew existed...best to stay away =D
