You started the thread, I just replied to what you and others wrote. Sure probation sucks but you made your choices, you're not a victim. Would you rather have been sentenced to jail time instead? You're 18, still in high school and by your own words "im a felon now so i can't get a job, and i can't get into any colleges." so what I want to know, is was it worth it? Do you now wish you had just finished school and went to college and worried about smoking dope, liquor, dxm, and popping pills later or was it worth it? If you had spent all of the time (or even half) and effort you've spent on drugs and booze on school, wouldn't you be better off?

You're right that sometimes probation doesn't work, that's why there are penalties for violation of probation. If you blow your "second chance" that's on you...man. Well, what are you going to do? It's your choice and you have nobody to blame for the outcome but you. That's what personal responsibility is all about.

Has nobody here heard of personal responsibility? Probation doesn't MAKE anyone drink or take anything else, it's punishment for YOU getting caught breaking a law that YOU chose to break. If you think that you NEED to take something to replace pot, maybe you should look at some addiction program and quit everything. Stop blaming external things for your internal decisions. Take it like a man for God's sake.

As you noticed none of these people have been on probation that are complaining and don't understand the aniexity. You Oblviously aren't mature as you claim to be becuase mature people don't just freak out and throw a tandrum over every little thing. Just relax, drink some water and breathe. People hate probation. Move on. Don't post out of ignorance. I have been on probation and back off and I understand what your saying. Just get over it and don't binker like little 4 year olds.

Exactly, most children (no matter what their age) see probation like being grounded by mom or dad instead of seeing how lucky they were not to be spending all of that time in jail. Because they're immature they blame and hate, lashing out instead of taking personal responsibility. It's not new or limited to drug related busts. They also complain about the cop that gave them a speeding ticket while making excuses instead of just admitting they fucked up, shouldn't have been speeding and deserved the ticket. I never complain about speeding tickets because I always speed. It's my choice and I deserve the few rare tickets I do get. *shrug*

You are quite redunant, I think we all see your point I smoke pot and accept the conseqences. I am just pointing out that their system that is designed to help people more often unjustly hurts them. You're argueing something completely different. I'm saying it doesn't work and your saying thats its punishment. I agree on both.
