Other than the adorable little bee girl on that ... what's the point to one?

It's just a chamber with a hole on one end and a filter on the other. You stuff it full of bud/trim and inject it with butane canisters. As the butane flows through the chamber it comes in contact with THC and absorbs it. The thc-laced butane drips out of the filter end. Once the butane evaporates you're left with the extracted cannabis. It's supposed to be the quickest and cleanest way to make hash/oil. I'll be buying one soon myself.

you can make one yourself for half the price. Just go to your fav home improvement store and by a peice of pvc pipe and twp caps. Drill some holes and attatche a can of butane and there you go.

What would make a good filter when making your own though?

I've often seen coffee filters suggested but it just doesn't strike me as a great idea, I imagine they'd go soggy and break in seconds/absorb a lot of the thc.

Or would a fine metal mesh work?Similar to the sort used in pipe gauzes.
