    The Truth About Adderal

    Ok, so I know at least half of you people are either on, know someone on Adderal. It is the best new government drug to hit the market, and they're making a fortune selling it. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but was it not Hitlers idea to employ amphetamines to his tropps to increase awareness and maintain accuracy in battle? So... if you flip flop the eras... is Adderal really any different? The basic racemic amphetamine consists of levo- and dextro-amphetamine. l-amphetamine is not considered as "fun" as d-amphetamine. 10 mg Adderall contains:

    Dextro-amphetamine Saccharate- 2.5 mg;
    Dextro-amphetamine Sulfate(USP)- 2.5 mg;
    Racemic-amphetamine Aspartate- 2.5 mg;
    Racemic-amphetamine Sulfate- 2.5 mg.

    That's a total of 6.3 mg of the straight base amphetamine (excluding the salt weights). Dexedrine contains pure dextro-amphetamine and is considered more recreational by many. Makes you think, huh? Why is more of half this parm made up of straight speed? To get idiot parents and kids who are desperate enough for a better report card HOOKED. I cannot stress how evil I think this shit is. Now, enough with all the facts, let me tell you a personal story:

    My friend, who we will call M, has recently ceased taking his Adderal, BEHIND his parents back. Several weeks ago, he rings my phone at 1 in the morning telling me he's scared for his fucking life. I can hardly make sense of the conversation, and he hangs up in what I assumed to be a psychotic episode from the amphetamines. He had been ordered to take one 30mg pill every day, before school, and had been doing so for several months. Anyway... time passes and his mom calls to tell me everything was ok, he was just having a mild reaction from the Adderal. The next day goes as usualy, M comes over when he gets out of school to blaze an L usually and today was no different. Except for the frightening ass story he had to tell. He told me he was blacking out when he tried to call me and I think the gash on the left side of his head was evident of a fall. He told me he had the absolute scariest hallucination ever, the blackness shifted to an old battlefeild with bloodied bodies and aircraft dropping bombs from over-head. And the worst part, he says, is that It all seemed terribly real, and that he was able to process his thoughts and actions in the "trip" as though he were actually there. This lasted for what he said seemed like 8 hours.

    Now, more facts. I am going to type a pages worth until you all realize how evil this shit really is!!!

    Health risks and problems associated with amphetamine use:

    Cardiovascular Stress: Increased heart rate and blood pressure. Tachycardia (fast heart) and palpitations are common at high doses.
    Frequency: very common. Certainty: clear causation.

    Heart Attack & Hypertensive Crisis: With higher doses and for vulnerable individuals, Cardiovascular Stress can precipitate severe hypertensive crises and Heart Attacks. Frequency: uncommon. Certainty: clear causation.

    Stroke: Increases risk of stroke as dose increases. Frequency: unknown. Certainty: medium.

    Poor Sleep Quality: Mild sleep disruptions are very common and include difficulty falling asleep and poor sleep quality. Frequency: typical. Certainty: clear causation.

    Poor Diet: Reduced appetite and reduced enjoyment of eating can lead to poor diet which, over time, can lead to poor general health, oral health and skin tone, and increased physical and mental stress. Frequency: common with chronic use. Certainty: clear causation.

    Stress & Oxidative Damage: Methamphetamine causes stress to the body and mind and causes an increase in oxidative stress in blood and tissues. At very high doses and frequencies of use, organ damage and premature aging may occur. Frequency: common. Certainty: some evidence.

    Neurotoxicity (Methamphetamine): At high doses, methamphetamine causes damage to dopamine and serotonin neurons in the brain [Seiden 1976, Thompson 2004]. Long term use may lead to noticeable neurological and behavioral problems. This effect is well documented with methamphetamine in mice and now largely confirmed in humans; behavioral/clinical effects of this damage is not well documented in humans [Hanson 2004].

    Death: Usually resuling from cardiac arrest, stroke, or hyperthermia. Acute renal failure associated with rhabdomyolysis, acidosis, and ischemic renal failure also is associated with methamphetamine fatalities. Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation also reported. Frequency: rare. Certainty: clear causation.

    I hope this thread was enough to turn a parent or kid away from the Idea of taking Adderal. It is evil shit, I know this from experience, trust me and the facts you just read with your own two eyes. It has been said.

    Sorry, the neuro toxicity is only with methamphetamine. But... regardless, I think the rest of the post speaks for itself.

    Dumbing down the mass.

    I had a friends/little Bro. when I was young that took Ritlin. So we all was just speedin away.

    But I guess we had to crash.
    Valium would have helped that bash.

    Any way. I know Meth users that look 20 years older than they are. I just tried a over the counter "speed" called Red Line. It has Anhydris caffine, a very distilled caffine extract. Feels like teen spirit.

    I beleive speed, or anything for that matter is ok in moderation. Four times a year I do speed. For fun. But it's not something kids should be prescribed to take every day. Sometimes I wonder what this country is coming to..

    Did you take the pills or the liquid, and also how much?

    No, it just takes some explaining. I dont know about other people who have said things like that, especially when speaking of shrooms cuz hey I say do those whenever you can get your hands on them, but with harder drugs you absolutely MUST watch yourself, set, and except a limit. If you can remain purely fascinated by the drug and not find yourself wanting it, your ok

    The Truth About Adderal

    Feds Consider Warnings on ADHD Drugs By ANDREW BRIDGES, Associated Press Writer
    Thu Feb 9, 12:36 PM ET

    A federal health official said Thursday that there was a strong possibility that popular drugs like Ritalin used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder may be linked to the deaths of 25 people.

    "There's smoke. Does that represent a fire?" asked Dr. David Graham of the Food and Drug Administration.

    To find out, an FDA advisory committee considered how best to study whether the popular drugs increased the risk of death and serious injury.

    "We wouldn't be going through this exercise if we didn't think there was a real possibility of increased risk," Graham told reporters.

    Further studies would examine the incidence of sudden death and serious health problems, including stroke and heart attack, among some of the millions of children and adults treated each year with the drugs. That could lead to new warning labels.

    The deaths occurred between 1999 and 2003, according to an FDA report. Nineteen of them involved children. The report also detailed 54 cases of serious cardiovascular problems, including heart attack, stroke, hypertension, palpitations and arrhythmia, in adults and children being treated with ADHD drugs. Some of these ADHD drug-treated patients had pre-existing heart conditions or hypertension.

    The drugs include amphetamines, such as Adderall, and methylphenidates, sold as Ritalin, Concerta, Methylin and Metadate.

    The FDA said it has tallied an additional 26 deaths between 1969 and 2003 in ADHD patients involving death by suicide, intentional overdose, drowning, heat stroke and from underlying disease.

    The FDA's Drug Safety and Risk Management advisory committee is reviewing different ways to study whether the deaths are linked to use of the drugs. The few studies that have looked at longer-term use of ADHD drugs provide little information on those risks, the FDA said.

    Analysis of the reports of death and injury suggests a possible link between the drugs and cardiovascular problems, the FDA's Dr. Kate Gelperin told the panel. But the link is not conclusive, nor is it clear whether there is an increased incidence of death or serious injury among people treated with the drugs, she added.

    That, Gelperin said, "is really a question we'd like to have answered."

    An FDA review found fewer than one case of death or serious injury per 1 million ADHD drug prescriptions filled, with one exception: 1.79 cases per million of nonfatal cardiovascular or cerebrovascular problems in adults treated with amphetamines.
    Currently, about two million children and one million adults are prescribed ADHD drugs each month, the FDA's Dr. Andrew Mosholder said. Adult use alone grew 90 percent between March 2002 and June 2005, he said.

    Sales of ADHD drugs increased to $3.1 billion in 2004, from $759 million in 2000, according to IMS Health, a pharmaceutical information and consulting firm.

    That stepped up use could spell increased risk.

    "Because adults have a higher risk of heart disease and stroke to begin with, any increase in risk caused by these drugs could affect a large number of people," Graham said.

    The FDA's Canadian equivalent, Health Canada, briefly pulled the ADHD drug Adderall XR from the market last year. A Canadian panel eventually concluded there was inadequate evidence of increased harm from the drug. The FDA reached a similar conclusion at the time.

    Adderall is made by Shire Pharmaceuticals and Ritalin is made by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. Various other companies make generic versions of Ritalin as well.

    Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, criticized the FDA's pace in studying the issue earlier this week.
