im about to get off probation here pretty soon but this whole experience has left me scarred. i used to not give a fuck what people saw or thought. but i never want to have to quit again, these last 11 months have been horible. but i jus wanna know some shit bout the laws. i live in california an i like to smoke pot on the back patio at night so i can look at the stars an relax an shit, u know?. i live in really shitty appts an were all really close together. an my whole back yard is only like 15' by 5'. i was jus wonderin if someone calls the pd an says they smell pot comin from my backyard (cause my neighbor hates me an i have a feeling he will do this) will i have pigs showin up knocking on my door an shit??? ive had pilice threaten to arrest me for some really stupid shit so i jus wanna know. i dont wanna have to quit again. an if ur an adult whats the usual sentencing fer assault on an officer??? jus let me know what the pigs are prolly gonna do if someone calls giving em my address sayin they smell pot.

i jus dont want to ever have to do this ever again so im paranoid as shit. ive had no rights fer a while so i guess i have a burned image of a pig walkin up to my fence cause he smellin smoke. i been gettin pulled over almost daily jus cause i walkin down the street so they can search me an ask all those where u goin? why? bullshit questions. also since i dont own my appt i rent does that give them the right onto my property?? an can smoking pot be construed as disturbing the peace???

Even if you rent your still protected under the 4th amendment for them to just bust in your house. You just have to be adament about not letting them in.

Don't let the cops in! They can't do anything unless you let them into your apartment. Once they're in, they can look around, and you don't want that. You're neighbor probably will be a prick, but unless he has proof, there's not much the cops can do about it.

Oh, yeah, and if you don't let the pigs in and they say, "Well, we can get a warrant..." That's laughable because no judge would give a cop a warrant to bust an apartment because a neighbor thought he smelled pot smoke.

even if the copz came 2 yer door cuz yer neighbor, witout proof they coodnt do anythin n i dunno bout cali but here it aint illegal ta smoke er b high, itz illegal 2 possess n traffic so they still coodnt do shit, that iz if yer off proby. i kno bout the paranoid feelin, i dunt hang around wit alotta ppl my age n i kno alotta guyz who r on proby n whenever the copz come around they shit there pantz. i think the copz r all bout bendin the lawz ta get wut they want, but fuck em. good luck tho bagz.

thanx all, i guess im jus tired of gettin locked up an being treated like a piece of shit on the bottom of a pigs ass. i got no problem telling off cops but my back patio area has a fence an all but where there was a gate is now jus an open space. if they jus walk in an find my bong an a sac of weed sittin on my lil table can i get busted fer that or since thet is violating my rights will i have something to contest in court?? an yeah its true, every time i see a pig i almost shit my pants, i jus wanna get off proby an they act like there job is to fuck me over, the system is set up too lose. i can be a dick all i want an thow harassment around but if they dont like me (which they definatly hate me) they gonna take me to jail fer whatever they can.

if u dont let um in n ur apartments rented, cant they get ur landlords permission or something? am not sure what the laws r in the us. best advice i can give is try n stay outta trouble mate lol. n i know its difficult but if u start gettin shit from ur neighbours n police dont start kickin off with em cos it'd make things worse. did ur neighbour ever grass u up for smokin weed before? if not just get stoned n chill gud luck mate
