alright everyone, this weekend a mate of mines menna be pickin up some magic mushrooms. this'll be the first time av tried em, n i just wanted to get a bit of info off neone whos dun um or does um regularly. how do u prepare n use um? what r the effects like n how long do they last? i was also wundrin, if ur feelin worried or anxious before u take um does it affect ur trip or whatever? soz if i sound a knob but i just wanna find out as much as i can before tryin um out.

Taking magic mushrooms: DO-S
(1) Start with a low dose.
Never take more than 1 gram of dry magic mushrooms. Wait for 90 minutes. If you feel OK and want to intensify the experience you could take some more.
(2) Make sure there is nothing on your head for the next 24 hours.
No work, no school, no visiting of friends or family, no care for children or pets, JUST NO NOTHING!
(3) Make sure to trip in a relaxed environment.
Busy environments with lots of people and noise may cause an information overload. Choose an environment where you are not bothered by people not involved in the experience. Choose a calm, natural, preferably rural place, where you can enjoy the wonders of nature. Choose a place that is familiar to you, a place you know and where you feel save.
(4) Make sure to trip with people you know, like and trust.
Preferably there should be someone around that is not involved in the experience.


Taking magic mushrooms: dont's
(0) Never take magic mushrooms when you have second thoughts about taking them.
(1) Never take magic mushrooms when you have mental problems.
(2) Never take magic mushrooms when you are feeling depressed.
(3) Never take magic mushrooms when you have a tendency to paranoia.
(4) Never take magic mushrooms when you are pregnant.
(5) Never take magic mushrooms when you are alone.
(6) Never take magic mushrooms when you are using prescription drugs, especially when you are on psychoactive prescription drugs or MAO-inhibitors.
(7) Never drive on magic mushrooms.
(8) Do not use magic mushrooms as a party drug (like alcohol or XTC).

cheers duppy man, i shud be able to get the natural n rural bit down seen as though i live in this little village lol we're menna be gettin um from this shop that sells um, cos it int illegal to sell um but its illegal to prepare em so ive heard. i was wonderin more about the actual experience itselfs, like what thats like. i dunno if am gonna take ne cos if am avin doubts now, i'll probably be pretty worried when i do try, so i reckon i'll just give it a miss. av u tried em before? what was it like? cheers btw

the trip isnt like acid. unless ur on a high dose u wont have blatent visuals, like things that dont exist, ull have an altered mind state where things jus look different. objects stand out more. the only way i can explain this it if u remember looney toons from years ago, the bad guy goes to grab a bottle an there are a bunch around it but its jus stands out, like everything fades into the backround. usually i get a stoned feeling.

ive only had one really bad trip, my friend was makin some food an we forgot about it so the house got really smokey an we couldnt breath as well an we didnt know why. it wasnt that bad though i jus felt like i was gonna pass out. i still haigured out if this happens to everyone yet but i get a sick feeling fer the first 30 or so minutes of the trip. noone seems too but if u start to feel sick to ur stomech at first jus try not to concentrate on it. hang out with some friends an talk bout the same shit u alwayse do an it goes away.

It's illegal to dry them, perfectly legal to buy fresh. Eat them fresh, take 30g wet.

i juss did shroomz last nite they were nice white n blue capz. newayz, id take a gram at first n wait 40 minz. they usually kick in in 20-30 minz. u get a rlly nice body buzz and the altered state ov mind where erythin lookz different. u feel rite happy n sumtimez a lil giggly. i usually get the feelin in my stomache like when yer in a car n u go down a hill rlly fast, like a rollercoaster. it iznt too intense at all on a low dose dependin on how good the zoomz are so u mite need alot more then a gram. dunt do em around alot ov ppl they will trip u out. hope yer trip iz fun, let us kno how she goez.

The best thing to do is look at the experience reports on erowid.com, there's tons of reoprts on "what it's like." There is also a lot of info on doseage and set and setting. I would say a good first dose is two grams rather than one, if they are psilocybe cubensis. Other kinds have different doseages. Also, I will diagree about the advice to never trip alone. Maybe you shouldn't the first time, I did, and I prefer to be alone, but most people don't. I always get an anxious buzzy feeling right as they begin to come on, and sometimes a little nauseous. If you feel like you need to puke, and it's messing with your head, go ahead and puke...or make yourself puke if you want to. You'll feel a lot better afterwards...and uh, read the erowid section on shrooms is the best advice I can give.

hahahha....atta boy gonz, i still had a quad ov em left frum last nite, since i read yer post i thot we mite az well b trippin at the same time. anywayz i dint say ta trip alone, i said not around alotta ppl. too many ppl will trip u out.

you need to eat the 30g's each 2 of my mates bought 30g's between them and felt like shit this is if you are getting cubensis i have had 5g's of hawain cubensis and i tripped from 10at night till 6 in the morning im guessing your in the uk so 30g's should only cost you about £10 its worth it i was in a room when i did it for my first time and felt completley safe though ive heard this can be a bit dodgy i was with my best mate at the time and ive also heard that taking shrooms with someone who isnt doing them you dont feel like spending time with them or talking to them i know some of what i said was coverd above i just didnt want to read all the posts to see im a lazy bastard
