Curing is done after cutting the plant down once the buds are ready for harvest. It dries the excess moisture and chloryphyll out of the buds which makes the smoke smoother and easier on the lungs & throat. There is alot more to curing than what I've said though...Read this faq for more info.

CUREING so ive heard many things about cureing - im just wondering what exactly it does to the buds? my brother and his friend smoke lots of bud with me so i know they can smoke a lot of it. one time no one had any weed and a friend had some in his attick for like 8 months and just enuff for a toothpick sized joint. we all 3 smoked that shit and was so high we had to put it out half way into it and was high all day long... can anyone explain what might have happened?
