    CUREING

so ive heard many things about cureing - im just wondering what exactly it does to the buds?

my brother and his friend smoke lots of bud with me so i know they can smoke a lot of it. one time no one had any weed and a friend had some in his attick for like 8 months and just enuff for a toothpick sized joint. we all 3 smoked that shit and was so high we had to put it out half way into it and was high all day long... can anyone explain what might have happened?

    CUREING

Curing is done after cutting the plant down once the buds are ready for harvest. It dries the excess moisture and chloryphyll out of the buds which makes the smoke smoother and easier on the lungs & throat. There is alot more to curing than what I've said though...Read this faq for more info.

cureing is drying the buds? because thats all i got off of that post but im looking for some good info on cureing ive heard many things

like he said at the end of the post it gets better with age?? i planned on cureing buds by burying them for a few months in a glass mason jar but who knows im also not very bright

Actually according to the experts curing bud and letting it age allows thc to ripen to it's psychoactive thc that we all enjoy. It also allows the cholyphyll to break down and makes it more aromic and smooth. As for you story sounds like some good bud.. hope you saved seeds.

    CUREING

that story i told was true it had no seed because it was just shreds... only a toothpick sized joint but i never figured out why it was so strong. 3 people, me and 2 others smoked it and could only smoke half and was high as fuck all day long was just wondering if anyone had an explanation for that i been looking for a reason to why it was so good but looked like dead grass out the yard it was so old.

as for cureing i was wondering if you let it cure long enough if it would have the same affect as that joint - i know how to do it was just wondering what exactly it does and if i could replicate that bud that was in the attic was stronger than anything ive ever smoked including salvia - hash - white rhino - purple kush - orange kush - super silver haze and the list goes on. ive just never smoked anything like it, it was in a attic for about 5 or 6 months just wondering if yall heard of such a thing and if so how would i go about makeing more like it. let me know get back at me that shit was crazy

There is no way of knowing why that weed was so good... maybe it was just some fire weed. Letting weed cure or age for 5 months will not directly affect potentcy. It'll just breakdown the chlorophyll and make it much smoother. I don't know maybe you should grow in your attic... sounds like some good mojo workin up there

heres a breif explaination of the process.

Decarboxylation :This occurs after buds are harvested and during the curing process. The THC loses a CO2 molecule, which then makes the THC psychoactive. This process is why drying and curing buds after harvest is crucial to the high that the bud produces.
