    Blue Screen Of Death!

I just bought a few upgrades for my PC. Unfortunately, I can't get it to startup. It runs the Windows XP screen with the green bar, then directly afterwards for a quarter second displays the Blue screen of death with something about my hard drive not working correctly and the code 07000000x0, I think. I read about the BSoD on wikipedia and said it occurs when the drivers perform an illegal action. I'm assuming I need to install the drivers for the mobo or the cpu, but I can't do that without starting up XP, and I can't start XP at all.

    I upgraded a GL VE 2002052 Mobo to a DFI NF4-DAGF, a Celeron to an Athlon 64 3200+, and 640MB pc2700 RAM to 512MB PC3200.

I've tried "everything". I say everything because every day I think of something that might be the problem but changes nothing when I do something about it.

That's included in "everything." I try to install, but it says that I need to install the mobo first.

i dunno dude, sounds like your gonna have to crack and go to a computer repair shop, expensive as hell i know but they can usually fix em, im not a hardware guy. Id suggest going on a forum for tech though before that hehe

When I upgraded my pc I changed the motherboard and the cpu. I got the same thing with windows. I had to reformat, and reinstall windows. that worked. If your not computer savy then dont even try.

If you have a recovery partitioned hard drive continuosly hit F8 F10 or F12 and boot in safe mode and see what you can do.

A PC illiterate wouldn't know to do what I've done so far. I'm dling an xp dvd with azureus because my pc vendor shipped some dumbassed recovery discs that don't work when your only original component is... shit. I was gonna say HDD, but it seems I've upgraded every single thing. Remember when OS installation discs were shipped with PCs? Those were the good ol' days.

When I boot to Safe Mode it doesn't even display anything. It just restarts.

Oi I had this same problem with my computer.

Unfortunately I took it to a guy who wiped it clean and put XP back on it for me.

I hope you backed up what you need... You are going to have to reinstall windows... You might want to put everything back and start it to save what you need then upgrade hardware again then do a fresh install of windows...
