ok well i'm building a box soon and for the air out would it work if i put cheese cloth over the hole for the air out ... would that take control of order???

but will cheese cloth work....becuase i have some in my house so it'd be free....

cheescloth would do nothing to control odor. it's just cloth, what in it would control the odor. you need activated carbon which is a chemical that obsorbs the smell right outta the air.

check your local pet store they usually have the activated carbon!! GL

Someone has the 1000 model on ebay he is the only one that has this model and cartridges and its 220v and in Singapore so I wouldn't get that one.
