The holiday itself is really lame, downright stupid really (I'm not calling participants stupid, just the day).

1. I absoulately HATE this commercial propoganda that tells us "this is your chance to show someone how much you care". it's rediculous to depend on a corporate holiday for your "chance" to show them. if you love somebody, show them you love them, waiting for an artificial date is just silly.

2. Valentines day is just a corporate holiday. it's a means of brainwashing society into actually believing that you have to spend tons of money on chocolates and cards and restaraunts and all that crap. that's the only meaning there is to the day, for companies to make money, and I for one am not being sucked in.
