Alright, you take shit too seriously bedake. I'm probably getting my girl candy, flowers, and sex. All of the staples of V-day. Why? Because I want to. Otherwise it's like a birthday without cake. And I don't even like cake. Of course I'll stick a huge bud in the flowers, and it'll be super-kinky rough sex, and possibly something weird with the candy. But still ... candy, flowers, and sex. You could book her a day at a luxury spa, I'd be well impressed if someone bought me that, book her treatments like a facial, massage etc, its thoughtful, not many guys think of things like that.

You could book a hotel away in the countryside which has a swimming pool & sauna and chill there overnight, bring her a champagne breakfast in bed

Yeah, I gotta agree with bedake on this one. I get my wife a card on Valentines Day and we treat ourselves to a nice dinner out (without the kid) but that's about it. On the other hand, I do randomly go out and buy her flowers and such for no reason at all other than to let her know I'm thinking of her.

As far as the big picture is concerned "I got you these flowers because it's Tuesday and I was thinking of you" will score you a whole lot more points with your loved one than "I ordered these flowers off the internet because it's Valentines Day and I had to do something"
