and why might that be, surely you should just get rid of Win 98, well if I had the capabilities I probably would set both up just to gain some expertise but once I done it and played around a bit I would trash Win 98.

Was just wondering, have you deleted the index.dat files through MSDOS, there's a nice we program called DELINDEX.BAT that deletes alot more crap from your PC. I'm not that familiar with XP but I'm sure it doesn't support MSDOS but you can do it in 98.
