1 1/2 weeks flowering hasnt showed
i know this guy who is growing and he is bitching that he has had them under his 250 watt hps for a week and a half, they show no signs or preflowers or anything no sex signs at all what could be the problem. It is a completely undisturbed light cycle and they just wont show those beautiful white whispy hairs

Hi Ballin
It can happen any day now.. It can often take 2-3 weeks.
In an ideal world SHEIST is correct... BUT in this era of INDOOR lighting and lights that are only 250 watts... it is (almost always) ridiculous to grow plants larger than 24 inches before flowering... actually taller than 12 inches..
BUT you can grow a plant to 24 inches (veg)
Then clone it down to 12 inches... let it veg for a few days (7)....
And then flower..
If you do all this, you should have a plant that preflowers, but still is not tall (cause you gave it adequate time to mature, but clones it down in size!!
Every 12 inches, an HPS bulb looses half of its lumes... add some foilage in the mix... and you really loose a lot of light with tall plants...
i love you

Listen to GK.. he knows what he is talking about. I've also heard that an excess in Nitrogen and/or light leaks during the dark cycle may delay the onset of flowering.

I think I understand...
LOL
Yes, you can clone a plant after 1 week of flowering... even 4 weeks.. even 8 weeks..
LOL
Yes you can take clones from the bottom.. Those straggly suckers that you're gonna cut off anyway cause they aren't gonna produce decent buds... they make great clones... cut and clone them by the THOUSANDS!!
clones make great X-mas gifts.. especially if they have LEGS (roots)
LOVE
