To harvest or not to harvest... that is the question

Ok, the main buds hairs are looking orange but the lower 1ns are still white(ish), should i wait?

Do the trichomes of a plant mature in the same time?

Under the microscope most of them look cloudy with just a couple looking amber, this is a sample from one of the main buds.

Should i be looking at many different sites or will they all be the same?

Ive checked faqs but couldnt really find what i was looking for.

Thanks for any help. and here a pic for yall

Mostly cloudy with some amber means they are ready to harvest! This range will give you a more stoney feel. If they were mostly cloudy with some clear, that is more of a head high. If they are mostly amber then you waited too long.

Take a sample or two from different buds and test those.

    Hey Sticky,

Just saw pictures of your bud's on Mand's tread and here. They are looking very good !! You've done well.

To me they don't quite look ready though. I would wait until at least 70% of the stigmas have withered. By the looks of the 3rd picture your maybe at 20%.

I agree with hempsmoker. You should wait a week. I remember my teacher telling me to be patient. I know it's hard.

I think you should post pictures daily so we can all see the progress.

    Peace,

Follow the trichomes like Stickygreen said. it sounds like you are ready.mostly cloudy and a few amber. That's the best time. the rest of the hairs will turn when you dry and cure them.

    Hey Sticky,

Keep in mind that buds near the top recieve more light and will ripen first, therefore you should pick them first. Pick individual buds as you feel they are ready.
