Use of of those "fountain" pens, the ones that have no ball in the end.

My buddy back in junior high had one, and he would wind it up in an elestaic, let it unwind, wind, unwind, etc...until one time he let the pen fling around too fast, and he got a huge, black, pen splatter, line down his face. He looks at me, "do I have ink on my face?"
