Many Americans Are Simply Dumber Than Bush

Wow, I guess that just about sums it all up. Good article, eg420ne! I have to admit it seem like our government needs to be brought back in line. It would take a massive movement, with very simple clear cut goals, to put together some voter initiatives that would stop this garbage in it's tracks.

Any ideas on how to go about it? Are there any groups currently set up to deal with these specific issues?

Sadly, Democrats dont have any Clear cut goals except to let Republicans run the country and then proceed to bitch about anything republicans do.

Which is exactly where the republicrats were and did during Clintons 8 yr reign.
And where has this gotten us? Selling out our sea port security to the UAE. Next they will sell airport security to Syria. I've decided I despise both parties since they are virtually indistinguishable. I think we desperately need another tea party.

Bush is stupid? He has a B.A. from Yale and an M.B.A. from Harvard. While many people may disagree with his policies, calling him stupid is well, stupid. The media, (most of whom could not pass the entrance exam to a Ivy League College) keep bringing up his C-average. They fail to mention Bush's grades were higher than Kerry's. And lets not forget Al Gore flunked out of divinity school and Yale Law school.

Too many people confuse style with substance. Just because someone isn't a great orator doesn't mean he isn't smart. Bill Clinton is a great speaker. Slick and polished, he knows what to say and when to say it. But look where he got us. We are in danger because of his dereliction of duty.

We don't need smooth talkers these days. Anyone can second guess. I would rather have someone in office that is more concerned with defending the country than with what the polls or some focus group has to say.

If history has taught us anything, appeasement to tyrants doesn't work. Remember the Munich Agreement? Just my two cents.

    Howdy gtrman,

Welcome to this here politics forum

You hit the nail on the head..for the Left, their priority is social engineering and steering this country towards socialism and turning us all into 'europhiles'..national security-is way down on their list of priorities. The left, views terrorists as victims and freedom fighters, and want to give them all of the Constitutional rights that American citizens have, even if the terrorists ain't American civilians. They also want the terrorists to have the Geneva convention applied to them, even though they wear no uniforms and ain't a part of any military.

    Have a good one !

Just out of curiosity, if they failed to mention Bush's academic achievement where did you hear about it? Been digging around in Harvard's basement have you? Yale's? Is it safe to assume the people running the Bush-porn sites that have this info slathered up went to Ivy League Colleges too, or just that they could just pass the exam?

Exactly:smokin: --The bushiites are in another world or time, they cant see shit beyond the Neo-Cons propaganda, The Bushiites, lemming there way on the bus with the bush administration driving, The destination, into the abyss at 8trillion dollars a mile.

What could we do besides an armed uprising, well not much. We could try getting independent in power but people are just too scared to get out of that left- right strangle hold, the demopublicans. Plus they have the DieBold machines, cant trust the machines, man!

To answer your question, Bush's academic records are a matter of public record. He released his records during his campaign for Govenor of Texas. John Kerry refused to release his until after he lost the election. My guess is that he didn't want to be compared to Bush academically. I can't say that I blame him.The general concensus is that Bush isn't that bright. But that doesn't mean that it is true. It doesn't mean that it isn't true as well. It just means that some people cannot see past their own hatred.

This country has a lot of problems to face. It always has. It always will. In order for us to face up to the challenges that lay before us, we have to keep the debate as intellectually honest as possible. If we don't, than we are no better than the politicians, regardless of party affiliations.

In regard to your comment about Bush porn sites, I am assuming you are talking about bloggers. I cannot comment on the academic achievements or failures of unknowns. What I will concede is that there are people in both parties that go too far. It is unfortunate. The free and open exchange of ideas is what makes this country great. For us to retain our greatness, we must see past our own ideologies. What ever happened to "Lets agree to disagree"?

While I may disagree with you, I will stand with you, hand in hand, and scream from the highest mountain for your right to say the very things that I do not believe. That is what patriotism means to me.

I believe Bush to be a complete moron and liability for the US, and man am I glad I don't live there.
He has certainly made some monumental fuck ups and yet to outsiders it would appear that he is still supported by the majority of Americans, I will never forget his speach including the gem of " terrorists will never stop thinking of ways to harm the american people and neither will we" not an exact quote but it sums up the mans grasp of his own language.
