Anyone here ever experience "dry socket"?

The dentist assistant told me at first that I had to have a root canal. I almost jumped out of the chair and killed herThanks goodness I didn't though, because that sounds, unpleasant.
Some people don't need their wisdom teeth out at all in their lifetime. I got mine out because of heavy decay, some get them out because they are pushing on all of your other teeth. My 2 bottom wisdoms are fine (so far) and don't need to be removed.
Peace
