Anyone here ever experience "dry socket"?
Hell ya! That guy was about a ft shorter than me, maybe more, and he did the most damage. It was like a fury of tiny fists.

I mean from getting your wisdom tooth/teeth pulled and the bloodclot doesn't fully clot. I experienced the worst kind of pain last week, but mostly on Sunday. I had a wisdom tooth removed, and the clot stayed, but there was a little pocket of air behind my main molar, right in front of where the wisdom tooth was pulled. Air was getting in and my nerves had been going of like static, Rating: 5

When I was little I had an absest (sp) I hardly remember it but I am told I was wailing in pain for a while. My mom had both her wisdom teeth pulled recently (don't know why so late) and was drugged up for a good week afterwards lol. I don't think she was feeling much bad things then.
THAT SUCKS THO!

Ya, an absest (sp?) tooth can send you into a coma if not removed right away.

The dentist assistant told me at first that I had to have a root canal. I almost jumped out of the chair and killed her
Thanks goodness I didn't though, because that sounds, unpleasant.
Some people don't need their wisdom teeth out at all in their lifetime. I got mine out because of heavy decay, some get them out because they are pushing on all of your other teeth. My 2 bottom wisdoms are fine (so far) and don't need to be removed.
Peace

I could have gone into greater detail, but I didn't want to gross people out

I had mine done over a year about (about 2) and luckely I didn't get dry socket. It all went well. All of my wisdom teeth were extracted and I didn't even take pain meds after and the whole recovery!
