I was considering buying a 400 watt HPS, but would 2 x 250 watts be a better idea? I was thinking it might assist with getting more overall lighting.
Ideas?

I'm ordering one of them within the next hour, so any and all help will be appreciated.

Definitely two 250Watters would be better.

A- 500Watts total
B- you can "spread" them to get better coverage for those 500Watts.
