vaporization questions

A few weeks ago, I decided to try out a homemade lightbulb vaporizer. I liked it because the vapor is so much less harsh than the smoke, plus I knew I wasn't losing any THC by burning it. (I once read on some site that when THC oxidizes, it turns into a different psychoactive chemical that is not as fun/powerful as THC). However, being such a crap homemade piece, it was awkward to load and to handle without touching the hot parts.

I went to a smoke shop and found a pyrex hookah meant for vaporizing. Now the hits were smoother than ever since it was cooled down THC vapor, and it was easy to load and pass around.

Now every website out there says vaporizing gets you more high than smoking because you don't burn (oxidize) any THC, and this makes perfect sense. However, when I took some hits off a small pipe, I seemed to be getting more high from the smoke than vapors! I've compared the two methods several times now, and I'm sure I get more high by smoking.

Here are my thoughts on why this could be true:

1)There is a drug interaction between THC and oxidized THC that makes you more high than pure THC.

AND/OR

2)The tar and other toxic chemicals in the smoke have psychoactive effects. (Like how alcohol is a psychoactive poison).

AND/OR

3)Since smoke is hotter than THC vapor, all the molecules are moving around in your lungs faster, so more of them hit the receptors in your lungs.



If you've tried vaporizing, do you think smoking or vaporizing gets you more high?

Do you think either of my explanations could be right?

its not bout which one gets you "more high" a vape high is different then a smokin high. a vape high is a head high. u can still think pretty clearly but everythin is .....well.....just different. i dunno how to describe it.
