You fill it up with enough water to drown the stem about 2cm and you smoke it. Do you see the little hole located on the bowl part of the bubbler? That's called a carb, you'll find it on all pipes/bongs/bubblers. The use of this little guy is to charge the hits, you hold your finger on it and inhale the smoke, then remove pressure and continue sucking to clear the chamber of any leftover smoke. Oh and then you pass it to the left hand side :rasta: :thumbsup:

Well, I bought mine at a headshop, and also had to haggle it down to $50 for an hour with some Idian guy named Abdul . The sticker price was actually $80.
