    pictures of my poppies seedlings, how far should i space them?

    i transplanted about 1/3rd of them in the soil that was in the ground, and none of them have died or anything. but a coule are still bending over because poppie sedlings do that. rastakaze here? i want to tansplant the rest, but not till i know how they are going to do. i still have ALOT of seeds though so no worries.

    Ooooooh I'm sorry to tell you mate you have got to start over-- they are very young delicate plants and when touched even lightly can be stressed GREATLY. Just look at the lil' fellas. And with a full blown trans. I can't imagine the shock they've gone through. Let me give you MY method for germinating poppy seeds:

    materials needed:
    peat moss, emptied teabag, and (1) poppy seed

    Stuff your emptied teabag with a heaping tablespoon peat moss and tie it up. I like to cut off any material after the knot to make things looks pretty but I guess it's not neccesary. Then I poke a hole in the peat with a toothpick or similar and drop the (1) poppy seed down the hatch. Place 'em in a dark, humid place for several days and when they pop bury them in their final pots (I think 2 liters work great, the plants have a very small root mass even at older ages) and place them in the shining sun.
