I bought one but haven't used it yet because my plants aren't smelly yet. I'd presume that it should be relatively effective in a very confined space. I wonder which type of filter is the best for marijuana smell though? They should just make a marijuana filter.

Are they worth bothering with? There's three versions, one multi purpose, one for tobacco smoke, and one for pet odors. They all specifically state that they use activated carbon filters. Rating: 5
