I got into an argument with my dad a while back and I was telling him how alcohol kills over 100,000 people a year, other drugs kill more people, and marijuana kills 0. Then he started saying "well theyre just using data from people who got in accidents and stuff, because no ones ever died from alcohol poisoning" Now my dads usually a smart guy. So I cant just automatically say he's wrong when he says something. But You can actually die from drinking too much alcohol, right? Like your CNS Rating: 5

Yeah i knew it. My dad doesnt seem to beleive that people die from smoking too much marijuana. And that it gives you lung cancer. Of course, smoking cigs and weed can get you cancer but not just weed. But the weed can contribute I guess... and he doesnt beleive me about why it is illegal, either. About how American's didnt like immigrants from mexico who smoked, so they made it illegal so mexicans would be like aw man i dont wanna go to america if you cant smoke weed. I bet if i could get my dad to beleive those then hed be all for me smoking

First, yes you can die from an alcohol overdose very easily. I happens at almost every university and college in the country at least once a year. Chug a fifth of hard liquor, pass out, and either stop breathing or choke to death on your own vomit. On a lighter note, there have been some recent studies that suggest that marijuana does not cause cancer of any kind and can actually reduce the damage done by smoking cigarettes. And apparently, people who smoke both are less likely to get lung cancer than those who smoke only cigarettes.

You would have to smoke that 1-1.8kg in under 30 minutes and you would probably cough lots so that would slow down the smoking. You would probably pass out/fall asleep after the first pound or two.

Not only that, drinking alcohol has long term effects as well. Cancer of the Pancreas (sp?), Liver, Prostate, Bowels, Stomach, etc...Severe damage to the Liver and Pancreas, not too mention everytime you drink, you are killing brain cells that DO NOT recover, unlike smoking MJ, where your brain cells don't die (in moderation), they just slow down.

Actually your brain/liver do repair themselves unless you are an alcoholic with cirrhosis (where cells can no longer repair due to alcoholism).
