looking good! got a little nute burn though, be careful, you're pushing the envelope when the tips begin to burn like that. as long as that is all it's fine, some growers use that as a way to tell when they have given enough ferts. i personally don't use that much but others do. they are looking great for day 15, keep up the good work!

compact flouro question
I'm still having a little nute burn but not to the extreme. So far Ive been feeding with clean water,I didn't want to flush the soil out cause I figured just feeding with just water will do the job over time.My next nute feeding will be more diluted.Being a first time grower u going to have that problem.Im learning thanks to u guys:thumbsup:here's an update on my girls.Qike frankly Im disappointed with the cfls due to my,"post a flowering pic"thread I see the differences between compact fluorescent and hps,HPS rule over all for flowering Sorry cfls lovers I will be getting an hps soon, real soon! We'll here's day 20 of flowering under 350w cfls

better off w/a MH, but if it is an $ issue then an hps will help out in a pinch. best light overall is MH, HPS coming a distant second followed by floro's. watts are watts, but penetration of those watts equal more/better buds. a 40w shop light bulb needs to touch the plant to be effective, same with cfl's. 1000w MH will penetrate 3ft into the "brush", once you flower with 1000w you will never go with anything less, believe me. r

i just reread the last post. the second to last sentence is supposed to read "i would definetely NOT say the hps is a distant second to mh." i forgot the not.

compact flouro question
Nice going so far bluntman. I think CFL grows require a little more skill as they don't have much of a margin for error. Light penetration is lacking so you need to expose as many bud making tips as possible. Justaseed has this down to a fine art as you can see. But with careful pruning and/or LST you can still grow fantastic plants. I believe keeping CFLs too close and/or using the wrong light spectrums cause the plant to become too stocky therefore shading the lower bud sites. Itâ??s a fine art to get the right amount of stretching to produce larger main buds vs. keeping the plant short enough for lumens to penetrate the lower buds. Reducing light leaks, reducing the amount of light absorbing materials and using highly reflective materials like mylar are a must.
Obviously justaseed's scrog demonstrates the ideal conditions to use CFLs but some of us just aren't that creative.
Justaseed you need to do a start to finish scrog thread. I'm sure it will be FAQ worthy.
I believe that lessons learned gaining more yield from CFL grows could drastically improve yields from HID light grows.

mh is better than hps hands down. tighter buds more like the real sun. this debate has been settled time & again. r

Ya ,but this argument has been settled that HPS is better then MH for flower.Ask anyone other then you!True both is ideal, but if you have to choose HPS has the red spectrum needed to flower thick dense buds.MH will give good results too but not as good as HPS period ,end of discussion.
Turtle, do you have a 150 watt MH I can use because that would be much better then CFL's?
By the way the closet is more like 2x 4 feet. And yes I'm cloning everyone Of my females ,so I can choose which ones to keep after harvest. You'll understand once you get a little more experience.I have about 10 different strains ,5 are from seed so gonna need to keep the best Mom's from the seed stock and then clone the clones to mother them.Simple.
I grow for 3 med patients so I am able to have quite a few plants.I'd rather not discuss that.Any posts made by me are purely fictional in nature and by no means is anything I say to be taken seriously.
