Absolutely not! Young people in this country have almost no rights as it is. Taking away transportation leaves them trapped inside little boxes with no means for escape.

Age doesn't cause accidents. It's the parents that buy their kids new cars every time they total them that cause them. I know people that had 3 and 4 cars bought for them when they were growing up. Stupid is as stupid does.

typical 16 year old. who the fuck cares about if you drive or not. i bet youre a shitty driver and will have a driving while intoxicated charge against you within the first year. im 23 and still havent had an accident or a point on my license ever. the only accidents ive gotten into is when stupid douchebag teenagers that just got their license or old ass retards that cant even see hit me from behind when im standing still at a red light. maybe if you retards would pay attention on the road, i wouldnt feel this way.

Do you support raising the minimum driving age in your state? A lot of states want to raise the minimum driving age from 16 to 18. Iâ??m 34 and absolutely will vote for this. The number of accidents and fatalities caused by drivers of the ages 16 and 17 are just shocking. Sure I was allowed to drive when I was 16 and when I think back to all the dangerous, stupid things I did in my car at that age it just makes me agree with this more. The combination of attitude and lack of experience at that age is a very deadly combination.



I for one will be going out of my way to vote for this in my state. What do you think? And please state your age with your answer.

i diagree with that...going through highschool without a license would be pretty awful...especially for more rural areas (i live 2 miles from the nearest house) and do you really think that people arent going to drive anyways?? i mean shit, its illegal to toke up, its illegal to drink underage, and look at all the shit that goes on. and cmon we're kids i mean dont get me wrong ive driven from nc to iowa and back 3 or 4 times and never had a problem but sometimes you just gotta go to some random rock roads and start slidin corners and whatnot...it's a good stress reliever!

i wouldnt mind raising the driving age limit from 17 to 19. hell, why not? i got my license and everytime i drive on the road, there is some retard that is driving so fucking slow in the passing lane and i have to cut their bitch ass off so they realize theyre going too slow.

i say dont let anyone under 20 get their license and dont let anyone over 60 drive.

Isn't it assholes like you that are in such a rush to go everwhere causing most of the accidents? No it must be ALL the teenagers....lets not even settle with the word majority.I agree, shun teenagers from having a reliable source of transportation.I mean its easy for all of you over 18 to agree with this seeing as this law wouldn't affect you, besides the fact that it would be one less teenager on the road to let YOU drive like a fucking prick.

It all depends. I am a great driver (if I do say so myself) my mum says I am good my driving instructor said I was the best student he had ever had. I passed 1st time havent had a crash (touch wood) no scrapes or scratches. A mate crashed his car after about 2 weeks written off. Other mate hit a cyclist.

Statistically us young un's are more likely to crash so we get to pay for everyone elses crashes although some of us are good drivers.

A little bit of information- I was the only person I know who took an Adavanced Driving Course before I ever drove on my own.

So I reckon harder driving tests but that will still not work because you will get crap drivers getting through by luck and good drivers having a bad day.

I really don't think 1 or 2 years is going to improve a bad driver... I was drinking in bars when i was 13 and at that time the law was 21... If I was 15 going on 16 and they changed the law to 18 I would be extremely pissed and would steal my parents car and drive anyway,in fact I did do that at 13 also...

Im getting my license this year ill be 17, i think thats old enough but yeah there will be more accidents, because lots of young drives are lunatics, but i also to need get around too...
