There is some truth to that argument but I would have to say no. By the time I was 18 I had grown up a lot more, at that age 2 years makes a HUGE difference and I would never have done shit that crazy like I did when I was 16.

It's true the "new toy" syndrome will be there at any age but the difference in maturity between 16 and 18 I think is enormous and when speaking statistically makes an enormous difference in the number of fatalities. Remember there are some states and countries where the driving age is 18 and when you compare the numbers it is no contest. The 16 and 17 yearolds kill themselves and other way more than the 18 and 19 yearolds do. Even when comparing the age groups of both brand new drivers.
