Do you support raising the minimum driving age?

But to answer the original question of this thread, no I would not support it if I were 18 and anyone cherished my opinion.

Teens need preparation for life, driving at 16 is a perfect example of this. Let natural selection take its course you pussies.

Think about it from a 16 year olds point of view (im not 16 but this is what they think). If im 16 im probably sick of life at home and getting anxious to get out on my own, is it better to give me a car and the ability to drive 2 years before im out on my own or at the same time? I think the preparation we receive from ages 15 and 7 months until we move out is very valuable and it includes driving, getting your first job, probably first real relationship etc....

It's up to the parents to make sure their kids are good drivers by teaching them how to do it. Don't expect the damn drivers ed teacher to do it, do it yourself you lazy mofo's, because the only sure way to know something is to be there and experience it for yourself. So stop being so fucking lazy and quit blaming others for your kids problems, take matters into your own damn hands. You can win against your child. Tell them no, when you need to, tell them yes when you need to. But stick to your shit and dont let your stupid kids boss you around (unless they are intelligent enough to rebuttal you and have an intelligent conversation with). Treat them according to how they act.

Isn't it assholes like you that are in such a rush to go everwhere causing most of the accidents? No it must be ALL the teenagers....lets not even settle with the word majority.I agree, shun teenagers from having a reliable source of transportation.I mean its easy for all of you over 18 to agree with this seeing as this law wouldn't affect you, besides the fact that it would be one less teenager on the road to let YOU drive like a fucking prick.
you obviously dont know anything...i not only hold your age against you in this debate, but also because YOU DONT HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE DRIVING. being younger means you never had any experience driving in any kind of situation, stupid.

i might be in a rush to go places but that still doesnt justify that i havent been in any accidents in my 7 years of driving or that fact that i have never received any points on my license. the last thing i want is some idiot teenager who just got his license to rear end me (like i have had multiple times) because "he didnt know all of the car controls such as braking at the right time." of course, im for it because it doesnt affect me. my state passed a law right after i got my license that you have to be 17 years old to get your license. why the fuck would i care if it affected you in any way. do i know you? do i fucking care about you? the answer to both of these questions are no. so why would i care if the government passes legislation to delay teenage drivers from getting their license. youre making it sound like just because were on the same forum that im supposed to agree with your opinion just because you want to get your license when your 16.

yeah...alright take what little enjoyment and privileges we have left away. if someone drives reckless when there 16, there probably still going to in another 2 years.

Its all about experience, a car is cruicial for me as i need it to get my life rolling. Having a bunch of new-to-driving 18 yr olds is the same as having 16 yr olds accept there older with more confidence, and more money for faster cars and booze.

think if you were all 16 and they changed the law you would be pissed, so dont be a hypocrite

does anyone know Canada's plans for the driving age? i heard buzz that we were going have it changed aswell

Well since you don't know me or care if I don't get my license till whatever age that is not 16.Then I guess I don't care about your perfect record, or the fact that I wouldn't possibly know if anything you just told me was bullshit. But I am getting my license this summer and I'll be sure to look out for your rear end.
