500+ Seeds, limited space. -Journal-
No, i will hand select only the best looking sprouts from my seed bank and plant them in egg cartons with prepared soil. I will poke a little hole in the bottoms for drainage, and i'll let them grow in that for the first two weeks. After the plants are about 1" sprouts, i'll keep a lamp on in my growing area, i'll also have a small space heater running to keep the temp around 85, that way the plant gets all the light it needs during its beginning stage. After the plants get to be around 5 - 6 inches tall, i'll already have many many plastic 'Solo' cups prepared with soil, and i'll transplant them to the solo cups. By then, i'll be able to seperate male from females, and i'll get rid of all males. I think the plants will be able to stay in the solo cups for a couple months, as long as i crop and trim the plant correctly. After the solo cup stage (sounds like a race event) i will have an outdoor environment prepared.. nothing fancy, just several several 5 gallon buckets halfway burried, prepared with soil. I'm setting the buckets in the ground about 6 - 8 inches, mainly for stability, as a nice heavy bush, already 2 feet off the ground in a 5 gallon bucket, seems to have a high chance of tipping. The soil line in the bucket will be well above the ground line on the outside, preventing puddling of water.

Started off today by gathering some paper plates, layin' some napkins in the plates, moistened the napkins, layed the seeds as evenly as possible in the plates and covered the seeds with a few layers of napkins ending with some more warm water on the top layer of napkins. A medium amount of napkins ensures that the water concentration is more spread out, rather then concentrating around Rating: 5
