The taxpayers spend millions every year saving the asses of these weekend warriors who venture in to the wilderness with a cellphone and no clue as to what they are doing. One of the goals of the forest service is to keep the human/animal contact down to a bare minimum as it screws up the natural habits of the animals. As we all know, when people mess with other cultures or species the outcome is always bad. (see Iraq, Native Americans, South American tribes, etc) Sadly, the man was a fool for going in to that territory without knowing what he was doing. The only thing that kept him alive for as long as he lived was blind dumb luck. My father realized years later that he made a mistake taking myself and my brother in to the Montana wilderness 30 years ago without being better prepared and bringing some sort of defensive weapon and he built the trail that we hiked that summer. He still thanks the stars that we all came out in one piece.
yeah i watch the discovery channel on a regular basis i know the behaviour of bears but this bear apparently didnt like tim and it basically shredded them to peices and they got 4 garbage bags full of people out of its stomach, but this guy was special he had a bond with animals or somthing a fox would never let you go up and pet it but this guy has a friend that is a fox and he talks to it and it comes up and lets him pet it like a cat and they hang out ontop of his tent.
